Potty Training a Puppy Doesn’t Have to Be Hard!

Author: admin - Categories: Pets - Tags: ,

Potty training is very important for pets and all the more so for dogs. Potty training a puppy is important as the puppy will retain those habits when it grows up into a dog. Most people find it really frustrating to train a puppy because most dogs grow fairly quickly and can have nature calling after almost every meal. It is different for every breed of puppy but there are some common guidelines that can easily be followed to help train your dogs well.

Here are some helpful tips for potty training your puppy:

Follow the puppy’s schedule: It is important to follow a puppy’s schedule of eating, sleeping and exercising as their bowel movements depend on their activities. Young pups do not have the stomach of dogs yet so their bowels are sensitive so it is important to make a chart for their timings. It is important to walk the puppy immediately after they wake from a nap, after they eat and also after they play. It is also good to follow proper feeding time tables, get in touch with the breeder of your dog or a vet to know more about your puppy’s feeding schedules and follow it.

Look for signs from your puppy: When you notice your puppy looking around, it is probably because it needs to go and you should go with it. Take it outside and accompany it so that you can give the puppy the much needed support.

Do not punish your puppy: one of the most important tips for training a puppy is that if it does make a mistake and takes a dump in the house, do not punish or scold it. Take the dog to the place you reserved for its potty and stand there with it. Over time, the pup begins to understand what you ask from it and will follow suit.

Cat Trees for Cats’ Natural Instincts

Author: admin - Categories: Pets - Tags:

It is the natural instinct of cats to scratch, hide, as well as look down from a perch right above, where they can have some privacy and enjoy some safety. They also like to go into dark holes and peer out from them. Likewise, as many cat owners know, cats love to scratch, as part of their habit, to get rid of the outer layer of their nails, as well as to mark their territory, as when a cat scratches a certain object, he or she leaves his or her unique scent on the object or piece of furniture. If your pieces of furniture at home have been suffering from your cats’ intrinsic nature of scratching, the thing to do about this is get cat trees, so that your cat switches from scratching your furniture to just using the cat tree for this purpose. My friend Andrea asked me for some advice on Male Dog Namesbecause she does not know many. Her boyfriend is a dog lover and now that the couple live together, she wants to surprise him with the perfect gift and her opinion is that a new puppy will fit the bill perfectly.

As for the type of puppy she is thinking of getting, she is torn between a Blood Hound and a Chihuahua. She loves little dogs but her boyfriend does not so she is leaning towards the Blood Hound option.

Becoming Sensitive with Your Dogs Needs

Author: admin - Categories: Pets - Tags:

One of the most common features among miniature dogs is that, despite their size, they are very energetic, active, sensitive, and affectionate but moody. It is important for pet owners to be able to sustain the energy level of their dogs since they are quiet too active for their own size. If you find time to visit their vets, they would recommend that pet owners must consult the proper nutritional diet because the digestive system of small dogs is naturally sensitive as compared to large breed dogs. They eat less and they eliminate less, but improper feeding could easily make them weak and sick. If your dog appears to be less active, and less attentive, it likely to be a symptom of an improper feeding. Furthermore, it is important to note that it is in the nature of small dogs to be guard dogs, and be extra protective which makes them a bit noisy and barks most of the time against any stranger. The thing is whatever the nature of your dogs can be, if you love taking care of them, everything becomes tolerable.
